BFAR National Director Eduardo B. Gongona, together with Regional Director Usop D. Pendaliday, Jr. and Center Chief Dr. Jericardo S. Mondragon, led the ceremonial inauguration of the first National Mariculture Center (NMC) Satellite Office in Caraga Region on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at BFAR Masao Aquaculture Center, Masao, Butuan City.
Director Gongona, in his message, stressed the importance of building public-private partnership as the Bureau strive to ensure safe, affordable, and available food fish for the Filipino people.
BFAR-NMC Chief Dr. Mondragon said that the establishment of the NMC satellite office in the region aims to cater to the concerns of the stakeholders regarding mariculture venture.
RD Pendaliday likewise assured the continuous support of BFAR Caraga for the development of mariculture endeavors in the region with hopes to increase both fish production and fish sufficiency in this side of the country.
