DA-BFAR Caraga turns-over solar dryers to Barobo fisherfolk
The DA - Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) Caraga through the Fisheries, Coastal Resources and Livelihood Project turns-over 18 units of fish/seaweed solar dryers to the fisherfolk of Barobo, Surigao del Sur.
OIC Regional Director Dr. Nilo Selim Katada formally turned-over the facilities to the local government unit of Barobo and the people's organizations.
On behalf of the municipality of Barobo, Mayor Joey Pama enjoins beneficiaries to use the project to improve the quality of raw dried seaweeds for better market price.
