Coordination Meetings with LGUs on Legislated Hatcheries

To fast track the implementation of legislated hatcheries in the region, the DA-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Caraga Regional Technical Working Group (TWG) recently conducted coordination meetings with the local government units to ensure that LGUs are well-guided with the required documents and activities to be undertaken in preparation for the project implementation.

Fronted by OIC Regional Director Dr. Nilo Selim Katada, Chief Aquaculturist Rizalinda L. Abing, and Provincial Fishery Officer Noel C. Pugoy, two (2) coordination meetings were conducted on Tuesday, May 4, among the local chief executives and other LGU key officials in the municipalities of Barobo and Bislig City in the province of Surigao del Sur.

The said coordination meetings were also held to encourage the LGUs to create municipal TWG for the implementation of the legislated hatcheries.
