The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Caraga joined the nationwide observance of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) with a community outreach program that brought fresh fish to vulnerable groups in Agusan del Norte.

As part of the celebration, the agency distributed 40 kilograms of fish—25 kgs of bangus and 15 kgs of tilapia—to three institutions: the Home for Girls in Barangay Bonbon and the Bahay Pag-asa in Barangay Antongalon in Butuan City, as well as the Por Cristo Foundation in Barangay Abilan, Buenavista.

The activity is part of the Regional Bureau’s continuing commitment to support food security and social welfare, especially among institutions that cater to disadvantaged and vulnerable sectors such as the elderly, children in conflict with the law, and victims of abuse and exploitation.
