For the first time in the history of DA-BFAR Caraga, some 65 contract of service (COS) personnel received their well-deserved recognition for their decades of service, in an awarding ceremonies dubbed as “Gabi ng Pagpapahalaga” last Thursday night, December 21, 2023 at the Dotties Place Hotel, Butuan City.

Regional director Omnia B. Olama, together with the division chiefs, led the awarding of certificates and token of appreciation to the COS personnel who have rendered service for 10 years and up to 39 years.

In her speech, RD Olama lauded the honorees, recognizing the importance of each one of them as integral part of the working force of the Regional Bureau.

“We are grateful for your dedication, hard work and the time you have shared. Thank you for doing a great job. Regardless of your employment status or position, you have played a significant role in achieving our mandates. Without you on the ground, BFAR Caraga would not be able to accomplish our targets,” RD Olama expressed.

“Let us continue to support one another, and be happy for the success of anyone of us. Let their success be our motivation to strive further to achieve greater heights,” the regional director added.

The event was staged to honor and celebrate the decades of unwavering dedication and commitment of the BFAR COS personnel.
