DA Sec. Pinol turns-over agri-fisheries projects to Agusan del Sur

As the Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Emmanuel “Manny” Piñol graced the first Upland Sustainable Agri- Forestry Development (USAD) Program and Agrilympics which was held at the Datu Lipus Makapandong Cultural Center (formerly called Naliyagan Cultural Center) in time with the silver celebration of the Naliyagan Festival, simultaneously he also turned-over various agri-fisheries intervention to the said province.


Farmers' and Fisherfolk's Month Celebration formally kicks off

Once again the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources celebrated the Farmers' and Fisherfolk's Month for the whole month of May. In consonance to the said month-long celebration is also the implementation of the Fisherfolk Directorship Program which is now on its 13th year.


BFAR-13 joins National Women’s Month Celebration

Joined the nation in the observance of the National Women’s Month Celebration this whole month of March. CORTES, SURIGAO DEL SUR: FIRST OUTSTANDING COASTAL COMMUNITY GRAND WINNER

The quaint and rugged charm of Cortes, Surigao del Sur, has been elevated to national prominence after its municipal government became the first grand prize winner of the Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan (MMK) National Search for Outstanding Coastal Community of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. President Rodrigo Duterte and Department of Agriculture Secretary Manny Pinol feted Cortes LGU and the other winners during the awarding ceremonies at the Rizal Hall of the Malacanang Palace on March 7, 2017.
